President Elect Bob Congdon will be inducted on the 7th of July.

 

Robert (Bob) Congdon
 
 
Robert (Bob) William Congdon was born in Gawler, South Australia in 1940. He attended the Gawler Primary School and the Gawler High School where he became the Head Prefect in his final year. Gawler was then a leafy village located at the confluence of the North and South Para Rivers. The freedom to swim, fish and camp along these streams and in the open spaces of the nearby Barossa Gold Fields provided healthy recreation. Bob was also a keen footballer at high School and later with the Gawler Central Football Club.
 
 
After leaving school Bob Joined an English electronics company operating within the Weapons Research Establishment. He studied part time at the S.A. Institute of Technology (now the University of SA) towards a Bachelor of Technology (Electronics). After some years working on defence projects for the RAN (which involved a large amount of time at sea) Bob joined Hewlett Packard.
 
Employment with Hewlett Packard took Bob to Victoria in 1980 where in 1985 he became a member of the Rotary Club of Templestowe serving as board member and Treasurer.
 
After managing professional services organizations at a country level in Australia/New Zealand Bob moved on to international assignments in India, Russia, and Singapore and later the Asia Pacific Region.
 
Bob has four adult Children. A daughter and son living in South Australia, a younger son living in Victoria and the youngest a daughter who lives in Washington D.C.
 
Wife, Pam and Bob enjoy family gatherings with children and grand children, socialising with friends, activities with the Sporting Car Club of SA, and international travel.
 
Bob was inducted into the Adelaide Parks Rotary Club in 2008
